Stability and balance must be exact.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce joined, the piece rests for three full days, sheltered from any draft. The slow drying is essential. It prevents the foot from cracking as the clay retracts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThen the firing begins. An engobe rich in copper and manganese is applied, giving the surface its deep metallic shift between green and bronze. A first firing sets it. A transparent enamel is applied and fired a second time to bring shine and depth. Finally, black and brown pigments are worked into the network of fine cracks that have formed across the surface. A third firing seals them in. The cracks become a quiet pattern of their own, organic and precise.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRooted in a ceramic tradition that has shaped Morocco for centuries.
