Who we are

The Fourth Cat is a trading name of Cuatro Gatos UK Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17011744, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. What we collect

Your name, email address, phone number, and delivery and billing addresses.

Your orders, returns and messages to us.

Payment details. Payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card number.

Your account details, if you create an account.

Information about your device and how you use our website, collected through cookies (see below).

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

To process, deliver and support your order, including returns: to perform our contract with you.

To keep records for tax and accounting: to meet our legal obligations.

To keep our website secure and prevent fraud: our legitimate interests.

To send you our newsletter, and to use analytics and advertising cookies: your consent. You can unsubscribe or change your cookie choices at any time.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the companies that help us run the shop: Shopify, which hosts our website and processes payments; PayPal, if you pay with it; Klaviyo, which sends our emails; Google Analytics, which shows us how the website is used; Meta, for advertising on Instagram and Facebook, if you accept advertising cookies; and delivery companies, to deliver your order. We may also share information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.

Shopify may also use information about your visit for its own services, as described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy (shopify.com/legal/privacy). You can exercise your rights over that information at privacy.shopify.com.

Cookies

We use cookies that the website needs to work, such as those that remember your basket. We use analytics and advertising cookies only if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States and Canada. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or the UK's approved data transfer agreements.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for six years, for tax and accounting. We keep your email address for our newsletter until you unsubscribe. Everything else is kept only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for.

The photographs, text and designs on this website belong to us. Please do not reuse them without our permission.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy to transfer elsewhere, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@thefourthcat.co.uk. We reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
