Amber Field was woven in Khenifra, in Morocco's Middle Atlas, a region known for substantial wool rugs and for a long tradition of richly coloured weaving. The pile is deep and the amber runs warm through it. Three metres by two: a rug to build a room around rather than fit into one.

The diamonds are traditional Mrirt, set at a scale and in a composition the weaver chose herself. She broke the usual grid, so the diamonds float and the colour moves freely across the surface, amber into ivory, navy against teal. Nested diamonds build outward from a centre into what Amazigh weavers call the all-seeing eye, a ward for the home, and here they keep watch from across the whole rug. The pile is thick enough for a mountain winter and washed to feel settled from the first day.
